Now that I know we are having a boy, I have loved looking for baby stuff! Who knew it could be so much fun??
I have to admit, I was pretty depressed looking for baby boy bedding at first. Not because I am not thrilled about our baby boy on the way, but because baby boy stuff tends to be SO cheesy. You know what I am talking about; monkeys and footballs and noah's ark and every other animal imaginable. Can I please have baby boy bedding without some kind of HUGE bright applique? :)
So needless to say, I was pretty excited when I had an instant of inspiration and decided on a theme and colors for our little guy's nursery. My wonderful mother who can sew absolutely anything has offered to make the bedding. So now it's just off to find fabric!
This next little jewel was my first baby purchase :) I was searching baby blogs and came across a post about these darling nursing covers. The best part? The 3 piece gift set (it includes the cover, a nursing bracelet and nursing pads) which is normally forty-something dollars is only $5 with the promo code "expecting". I got mine in the mail a few days ago and it's so cute! It also has a bone wiring across the top so you can still look down and see the baby. Click here to check it out.
My next baby purchase was this darling diaper bag from Pottery Barn Kids in red. And I love it :)
Do any of you mothers out there have any suggestions on must-haves or favorites? I would love to hear them!

Cute bag!! You'll have to post some pictures of the bedding when it's finished. I know it'll be soo cute!
My "must-have" recommendation is aaden and anais swaddling blankets. They come in a pack of 4 and are seriously the best EVER. They keep your babies nice and warm but are real lightweight, they're bigger than the average blanket so you can use them as a play mat for tummy time, and they double as a burp cloth when you're on the go and can't always dig in the diaper bag. Plus they have tons of darling patterns to chose from.
you can check them out here: http://www.adenandanais.com/shop/classic.aspx
Target actually just started selling them too if you want to look there. Sorry for my super long post but I just had to share! I plan on buying a new pack for each baby... I'm totally obsessed! :)
I totally know what you mean by looking for boy stuff. I am due in 10 weeks and have only bought a couple of things for our baby boy. It is so hard to shop for them.
I have one of those nursing covers too and love it!!
I guess my only thing I would suggest is lots of onesies! We went through so many of them with our little girl...just remember to buy all different sizes because they grow up so fast.
Good Luck with everything!!!
That is so funny, I have the same exact nursing cover! I bought it before I was even prego with a code that all I had to pay was the shipping. Can't wait to see your bedding, I am sure that it will be darling.
I'm so excited for you Chrissy! Yay for babies! My mom just gave me the purple udder cover as a gift, and I'm excited about it! I can't believe that they're normally so expensive! Also, the bag is darling! And red is a perfect color!
As for the bedding--same goes for little girls! All so cliche! When we find out where we end up after graduation bedding is on my list of what to make/do/buy. :)
I love that udder cover... i got the black one and I love it. and I love that you are going to make his bedding. That's what i did for Stacia. I love that no one else has her same bedding. Have you every heard of gracie lou's quilt shop? They have the cutest fabric there. Seriously tons cuter than anywhere else. I just saw on their blog the other day a new line called "gray citron black by michael miller" there are some animals in the fabrics from the line, but they are more mod and there are lots of dot and stripe prints. There website is gracielouquilts.blogspot.com they have tons more cute stuff and just one more thing... I say my must have is a boppy. Sorry this was so long. Have fun nesting!
Bumbo!! I love the bumbo....love love love.
