{baby shower}

My wonderful girlfriends have offered to throw me a shower and I am so very excited for it :) I'm trying to gather addresses for it and would love it you could leave yours in a comment. If you are reading this, you are invited! Please, don't be shy; I would love to see you there.

Knowing my girlfriends, it is going to be a good one and you wont want to miss out! If you don't feel comfortable leaving your address in a comment, you can email it to me at chrissymari@gmail.com.

{its official}

The first of August, Lance & I and baby Walker will be packing our bags and moving to this beautiful city.

Lance landed a job with EPIC, a medical software company based out of Madison, Wisconsin. They are a great company that, as I am told, have been dominating their industry and are growing like crazy despite the recession. We feel very blessed to have such a great job offer and, while we are sad to leave behind all of our family and friends, we are so excited for the adventure ahead of us.

Lance will be working as a project manager, heading up a team that will travel to hospitals across the country to implement the new software. I am so proud of him and his hard work in school. It's so fun to be graduating and to see all his hard work paying off! I love you babe.

{so sad}

I am the enrichment leader in our ward and scheduled a meeting with our committee for this last Sunday. I got up bright and early to make these yummy things.

I was so proud of myself! I had everything set out so cute; cut up fruit, a pitcher of milk, everything! I even pulled these babies out of the oven just as everyone was arriving for the meeting. The smell of lemon poppy-seed muffins filled the air! I was about to say, "help yourself!" when someone shyly piped up, "um....isn't it fast Sunday?"

{sunday dinner}

This last Sunday we had Lance's family over for pot roast, potatoes & carrots. Pot roast has been a Sunday tradition with my family for a long time so it was fun to make my family classic. And we were so lucky to have everyone over for an evening of fun. Little Savannah is visiting grandma for the week and, as you can see, she is quite the character! She was keeping us all laughing the entire night. She is such a smart little one and has started to really talk up a storm.

She loves her Keaton more than anything!

Trishy taking a little nap after our big feast!

Oh how we love our family! It's so much fun having everyone close (besides Kirstin, of course) and being able to play with them so often. I just know our little one is going to love his aunts, uncles, and grandparents SO much. What a lucky little guy :)

{baby boy}

Now that I know we are having a boy, I have loved looking for baby stuff! Who knew it could be so much fun??

I have to admit, I was pretty depressed looking for baby boy bedding at first. Not because I am not thrilled about our baby boy on the way, but because baby boy stuff tends to be SO cheesy. You know what I am talking about; monkeys and footballs and noah's ark and every other animal imaginable.  Can I please have baby boy bedding without some kind of HUGE bright applique? :)

So needless to say, I was pretty excited when I had an instant of inspiration and decided on a theme and colors for our little guy's nursery. My wonderful mother who can sew absolutely anything has offered to make the bedding. So now it's just off to find fabric!

This next little jewel was my first baby purchase :) I was searching baby blogs and came across a post about these darling nursing covers. The best part? The 3 piece gift set (it includes the cover, a nursing bracelet and nursing pads) which is normally forty-something dollars is only $5 with the promo code "expecting". I got mine in the mail a few days ago and it's so cute! It also has a bone wiring across the top so you can still look down and see the baby. Click here to check it out.

My next baby purchase was this darling diaper bag from Pottery Barn Kids in red. And I love it :)

Do any of you mothers out there have any suggestions on must-haves or favorites? I would love to hear them!
