{happy one year to my baby!}

Our wedding day was everything I had dreamed of! At the end of the day, I remember
feeling like I just wouldn't change a single thing! The one thing, though, that I failed to do
and was so sad was a wedding video. I know, i know. So silly of me but I figured we would
have our family members tape everything and I would use my new editing skills to
make our own! But it got completely lost in the shuffle. SO, Lance and I went out at
the end of October this year and had our wedding video made.

Sounds funny right? I got in my dress, Lance in his suit, I made a bouquet and we went to
the temple grounds for a few hours of loving each other :) We got the video back soon after and
I am absolutely IN LOVE with it! It was so worth it going back out. Melissa came
along and got some more shots of us in front of the temple and I love them.
I was absolutely freezing on our wedding day so it was nice to get some pictures in
the warm and sunny weather. Thank you again Melissa, I love them :)

Its hard to believe it has been an entire year since I married my sweetheart for time and all
eternity. It has been such a fun and adventurous year! We have been lucky enough to take 5
vacations this year, move into our first home together, spend so much time with our wonderful
friends and family, and be wrapping up our educations at BYU.

We have learned so much together already and I love him so much more than I
ever thought possible. He is my everything.

We have the entire world in front of us and we can hardly wait what it has in store!

my best friend's wedding

Daxton & Alisa
May 20th, 2009

I cannot believe my best friend is married to her sweetheart.
I am so happy for her and Daxton! Her wedding was beautiful,
of course. And it was such a neat experience to be there with
Lance for my first sealing in the temple. They are so in love
and I have never seen her so happy.

Whitt, me, Alisa & Jenn. So great to have us all together again!

Being there for the sealing reminded my of my own
wedding (6 months ago!) and the blessing of being
sealed to my sweetheart in a Holy Temple of the
Lord. He is everything I could ever want and more.
Each day I feel like I couldn't love him any more
and I cannot wait for the journey ahead of us.
Here are the gray frames and canvas prints I did for
Alisa's wedding. They turned out so well, I think!
Next is orange for Melissa's wedding.

See more pictures of the frames here.

wedding pictures

Our lives have been crazy! Between the 4 round-trip drives we made to Salt Lake over the break, a trip to St. George to start up our new Kiosk, and working on my up-and-coming framing business :), I have not had much time to post on the blog. And since we are leaving with my entire family Friday for a mexican cruise, I figured I better post some wedding pics soon.

My Aunt Kate came all the way from Arizona to take the pictures our wedding day. Thank you Aunt Kate! I haven't gotten to play with all of them yet because our lives have been so crazy. But here are a few for now and I will add more before too long.

I loved my wedding cake! It took me so long to decide what I wanted and to find the right size and color ribbon but I am so pleased with how it turned out. And the "W" on top added the perfect touch, I think. Thanks Jenn!

I love my Hannah Baby! She has grown into such a beautiful young woman. How perfect that my favorite girl on the planet caught my bouquet! I was also so happy my uncle Don and family could make the trip from Denver for the wedding. He spoke at the luncheon and emceed the reception. To be surrounded by those you love the most is all you can ask for on your wedding day.
Alisa, Whitney & Jenn. My best friends and 3 of my 10 beautiful bridesmaids. They drove up from St. George twice! Once to throw me my bridal shower and then again for the wedding. It was so awesome to have Whitt and Jenn in the temple. Don't worry Al, I can at least be there for your wedding :) I love you girls!
So perfectly content in his arms

I love the brick walls of the Historic Southworth Hall. It fit perfectly with my Hollywood Glamor wedding theme. The space was just large enough that it didn't feel crowded but small enough that it still felt so cozy and inviting.

I love this one

I had to save this picture for the end because it is my favorite. It so tenderly captures that moment. My dad grabbed me- he has never held me so tightly- and we both just cried. How difficult it must be to give away your oldest daughter! He also wrote a song for the wedding about the trust I have had in my eyes as I have looked at him all growing up. And how now, I look at Lance with that same trust. I love you dad! Thank you for the perfect wedding!

bridals

This last Saturday we headed up to the Garden Park Ward in Salt Lake City to take bridals. We chose the perfect day- the last day with any real warmth in the season.

The neighborhoods that this is hidden in are gorgeous! They have the most perfect feel of old and new. The streets are lined with large oaks that make a sort of tunnel to drive through. And with the leaves falling by the bag fulls, we could certainly feel that fall was just about over.

Here are a few of my favorites. I have saved some of the very best ones for the wedding...

Melissa took the pictures again. Aren't they gorgeous? Thank you again Missa! You're amazing. I have had so much fun with these pictures in Photoshop! Its my new favorite past time.

Less than 2 weeks! We can hardly believe it. And each day I feel like I couldn't love him more. I cant wait to spend forever with you babe!

engagements

We headed up to this gorgeous amphitheater behind the state mental hospital (don't worry, no mentals escaped while we were there) with my sister-in-law, Melissa, to take engagements. Thanks Missa! She is so talented and did such a beautiful job. Here are just a few of our favorites.

There were just so many good ones, it was hard to choose the ones we wanted to send out! So we ended up choosing five different ones. I cant wait for bridals!

wedding bliss

I have never been the typical girl that had her wedding colors and details planned out before she even had a serious boyfriend. But I have to admit, now that the time has come for me, its all I can think about! I love looking for ideas and finding new projects for the DIY bride. Here are some of the things I've been finding inspiration in...

One of the projects I'm most excited about are these moss-covered monogram letters. How cute is that? I'm also really excited about the monogram wax seals that will go on each invite; just to add a little personal touch.

Here are the bridesmaids dresses which are gold. They were actually the first thing I bought long before Lance and I were engaged. And I'm thinking a little embellishment around the bottom edge (lace, perhaps?) would be darling and so easy to do!

I will be wearing my mom's wedding dress. It fits me like a glove and is so beautiful! We found an amazing seamstress in Salt Lake that is making a few changes to it. I love the thought of being sealed to my sweetheart in the same dress my mom was sealed to hers in 27 years ago. Its classic vintage too; ivory from age & gorgeous lace.... I can't wait to see the final project! I'll post when we get engagements and bridals taken. In the meantime, thanks fellow bloggers for your love and support! :)
